One of our favorite projects. Apartment two steps from the Hermitage, on Millionnaya Street in an 18th century house.
This bright interior was published in AD magazine and distributed throughout the world’s Internet resources, as an example of a modern approach to historical reconstruction. We started work with a complete redevelopment. They created a circular through movement, connecting all the living rooms in enfilades. As a design code, we designed the doors in the form of bright yolk-colored portals in high gloss.
There was no historical molding left and we selected a complex, decorative floral pattern that emphasizes the historical value of the space.
The interior is filled with exquisite collectible and modern furniture from the best European brands. A buthaup kitchen and knoll chairs decorate the dining room. The dining table was designed specifically for this apartment by our bureau and named “Samurai” because of its resemblance to a Japanese sword. The living room is decorated with two sofas by the wonderful Danish designer Finn JuHl.
The bright console with a red lacquer base was also designed by us. The interior of this apartment is designed to evoke joy, taking the owners and their guests away from the gray of St. Petersburg to a bright, southern, bourgeois mood. This work is a real diamond in our collection and we are rightfully proud of it.
